The 2022 Nissan Titan is a full-size light-duty pickup available in five trim levels; S, SV, PRO-4X, and Platinum Reserve. Available in 2-wheel and 4-wheel drive, the Titan is offered in two different cab styles; Crew Cab Short Bed and King Cab Standard Bed. The Titan is powered by a 5.6L V8 producing 400 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque, refined by Nissan's Variable Valve Event and Lift Technology (VVEL). The engine is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission designed for optimal performance and fuel efficiency.
The S and SV trim are available for both cab styles. The Titan S trim is the base model trim available. Standard features include 18-inch styled steel wheels, keyless entry with push button ignition, automatic headlamps with auto high-beam, sliding rear window, many advanced driver assist features, Sirius XM satellite radio, lockable tailgate with dampened assist, LED cargo bed lights, active grille shutter, and a rearview camera. An 8-inch color display infotainment system allows for Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity, Bluetooth hands-free as well as steering-wheel-mounted audio controls. The SV trim adds to these standard features with chrome door handles, power-remote heated chrome exterior mirrors with turn-signal indicators, front tow hooks on 4X4 models, 18-inch alloy wheels, Nissan Connect Service and Intelligent Cruise Control.
The Titan Crew Cab offers additional trim levels with the Pro-4X and Platinum Reserve. The Pro-4X trim includes all the features of the SV, adding all-terrain off-road tires, Bilstein off-road performance shocks, electronic locking rear differential, hill descent control, projector low/high beam illuminated driver and passenger vanity mirrors, proximity keyless with push start button and power locking tailgate, leather steering wheel, bucket seats, 8-way power driver seat, mobile hotspot, 4 USB ports, trailer hitch receiver with harness, automatic dual-zone climate control, 9-inch touch screen, voice activated navigation system, LED headlamps, LED fog lamps, and front skid plate.
The top-of-the-line Platinum Reserve trim offers additional luxury to the truck with premium leather seats, heated rear seats and heated/cooled front seats, power passenger seat, 20-inch machined wheels, 2 driver memories for seat/mirrors/steering column, illuminated running boards, auto-dimming driver power folding mirrors with reverse tilt down, 12-speakers premium sound system, remote start, front and rear parking sensors, power sliding rear window, chrome exterior trim, leather gear shift knob, leather and genuine wood steering wheel and genuine wood interior accents.
Nissan offers various optional packages for the Titan including a Convenience Package, Utility Package, a Towing Package and more. This allows buyers to choose between a large variety of interior comfort, exterior style and performance options to fit their needs.
The Titan rides on a sturdy boxed-ladder frame borrowed from Nissan's line of commercial vans. Front suspension is courtesy of reinforced double-wishbones and a stabilizer bar, while the rear features a multi-leaf setup. Brakes are 14.2-inch vented discs in front and 14.4-vented discs in the rear, which provide plenty of stopping power for the big Nissan. Towing is made easy in the 2022 Titan with the Crew Cab tow capacity up to 9,150 pounds and King Cab tow capacity up to 9,200 pounds. Max tow capacity is 10,900 pounds with four-wheel drive Titan XD. Features such as the tow-haul mode, rear-view monitor, available remote brake light check, available brake controller and standard trailer sway control make towing an ease for drivers.
Safety in the big truck has not been overlooked, and standard on all Titans are anti-lock brakes, stability and traction control, and front airbags and roof-mounted curtain airbags for the front and rear. Standard tech safety features in all trims include rear parking sensor, lane departure warning, forward collision automated braking with pedestrian detection, blind spot warning, rear collision automated braking, and driver attention alert.

The Titan and Titan XD both carry over into 2022 with minimal changes. The base S trim now comes with standard hitch and spray-on bedliner. The SV has standard all the features of the Convenience package. Also, the SL trim is no longer available.
The 2022 Nissan Titan full-size pickup provides power, strength and versatility for whatever a driver would need. With the available cab styles, performance options and durability the Titan rivals that of the Ford F-150, Toyota Tundra and Ram 1500. The interior is roomy and comfortable, with various technology options that are desirable to truck owners. One of the benefits that may take it over the top is that the Titan comes with the best in class, 5-year/100,000-mile, bumper-to-bumper warranty.
